| Whitefish
lies directly to the west of Glacier National Park -
one
of the most scenic, breathtaking areas in America. Whitefish
is surrounded on three sides by picturesque mountain
peaks that include the Whitefish Mountain Resort ski area just outside
of town. Whitefish still retains the warm, friendly
charm of its bygone railroading days. The refurbished
train depot, along with the Western-style covered walkways,
are the focal point of the downtown area. Whitefish
Lake, seven miles long, is a beautiful glacial lake.
