New TLC TV Series is Looking
for Structures to Implode
How would you like to be responsible for speeding up economic development in your city? Getting rid of that large eyesore all the neighbors have been complaining about? Making room for the future? Avoid months of dust and loud construction sounds? If so, we are seeking large structures, 5 stories and above, smoke stacks and/or bridges, planned & budgeted for demolition Dec- Jan 2010 that our talent, “The Imploders”, will subcontract and bring down in ONE day! “The Imploders” series documents the activities of Advanced Explosive Demolition (AED), and in particular Eric and Lisa Kelly. The show is set to premiere on TLC December 17 and showcases AED as one of the best demolition companies in the business. The core content of the series is made up of Eric and Lisa managing family life on the road while they run their successful demolition business. In each of the 6 episodes, they travel to a different city in order to bring down a building, bridge or other large structure. We are filming them as they deal with pulling down the structures while trying to keep their family together.
Inclusion in the show will most likely result in significant exposure for the city, officials, developers & contractor as part of the story, which may also be seen internationally, as well as on other ancillary platforms including DVD and Internet. Many episodes will include an implosion where the mayor pushes the button and others showcase a process called “Tripping” where the structure is weakened and pulled down on itself in ONE day without any explosives. Crew is minimal and abides by OSHA standards. Where do we go from here? Contact me at 310-428-4707 if you have a large structure that the city, private owner, developer, etc. is prepared to demolish in Dec or Jan. If there's already a general contractor, not a problem. The Imploders are sub-contracted by the general contractor, owner, city or project manager for their expertise in "Implosion" and/or "Tripping". Also the Imploders will call an all city meeting for a site-specific presentation on safety, dust, vibration, noise, neighbors, etc. Please note that TLC will not pay for demolition and structures must have already been cleared of asbestos.
