Kalispell sits near the head of Flathead Lake, the largest
natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Glacier
National Park, with its majestic snowcapped peaks is
close by. They can be seen from the downtown area where
a well-established main street circles Kalispell's Courthouse
at one end. This small, thriving city is home to the
Conrad Mansion, a 19th century Norman-style mansion
with 26 originally furnished rooms; Tiffany glass and
eight fireplaces.
