| The Madison Valley is a vast, open, and seemingly endless valley. It is bordered on each side by the
dynamic, rugged peaks of the Madison mountain range on the east and the Gravely Range to the west. The Madison
River, which meanders its way along the valley floor, originates in Yellowstone National Park. The Madison eventually joins
up with the Jefferson and Galleton rivers to form the Mighty Missouri which, 200 years ago, was thought to be host to the
only all water route from Missouri to the Pacific Ocean.
