| Whitefish lies directly to the west of Glacier National Park - one
of the most scenic, breathtaking areas in America. Whitefish is surrounded on three sides by picturesque mountain peaks
that include the Big Mountain ski area just north of town. Whitefish still retains the warm, friendly charm of its bygone
railroading days. The refurbished train depot, along with the Western-style covered walkways, are the focal point of the
downtown area. Whitefish Lake, seven miles long, is partially within city limits.
