Home to Montana's state prison, Deer Lodge is one of
Montana's oldest towns. Now unused, the Old Territorial
Prison with its 4-tiered cell block, gothic facade and
huge prison yard, remains a favorite location. Deer
Lodge also houses one of the largest antique auto museums
in the state. Remnants of old mining camps can still
be visited a few miles from town. The original Grant-Kohrs
Ranch, one of the 19th century's biggest range ranches,
still exists as a National Historic Site and a working
ranch. More
